Mail makes me do the crazy JAZZ HANDS!

Hello lovely people! I like doing jazz hands. I don't know why, but I am overly fond of doing jazz hands. There is no situation that jazz hands isn't appreciated, I'm sure. And you know what calls for jazz hands? A visit to Ollivanders for a wand!!

JAZZ HANDS!! It's actually my friend's wand, which was a present from her brother, but still. It was pret-ty fun to pretend I was a wizard for a bit. But I couldn't make fifty million dollars or cupcakes appear, no matter how I waved that thing around. I guess I just don't have the magic wizard touch. I am such a muggle. Shucks.

I'm changing the order of my outgoing and incoming for this week's mail post. Why? I dunno. Because I sometimes like to do the crazy and mix things right up! JAZZ HANDS!!

Oh, you're probably thinking that this envelope looks familiar. You're probably thinking, "Hey Laura, you numbskull, you already posted this picture in your outgoing. What a bonehead mistake." Firstly, wow, that's mean, and secondly, it's not a mistake. I dropped this off at the post office on Monday; came home on Wednesday and found it in MY mailbox (the stamp wasn't cancelled and it didn't have a note, nadda!). What the what what?! That's a giant open parentheses [(] on the weird happenings scale. So I dropped it back into the post on Thursday morning. I just hope that it's not going to be The Cat (you know, the one who came back the very next day?) or the envelope equivalent of a boomerang. C'mon envelope...go to Sukie, you know you wanna. Go visit the UK—home of good TV, tea, awesome music, great literature, and Tom Hiddleston. Trust me, you don't want to stay with me.

A book theme with my incoming postcards this week. Coincidence? Or a portent? Right now I'm leaning towards awesome coincidence, but if a UFO shows up shaped like a book next week, I'm absolutely changing my answer to portent.

Check out some of the beautiful stationery Marissa made using hand carved stamps:
So lovely! And absolutely impressive considering the most I did with my hands this week was stuff a sandwich in my mouth. I bow down to Marissa's mastery.

Holly's great letter above came wrapped in the below bag:
Strange things are afoot in Laura's mail world this week...

I also bought the last two A6 stationery grab bags from Julie. SO PURDY.

One final one for the road: JAZZ HANDS!!! Have a lovely jazzy week everyone.

As an aside: these posts are getting so long. I need to learn how to shut up....

    1. I think you need to look at it in a different way: you're the one who is special! Because apparently, your letter was SO tempting that someone along the mail way couldn't resist ripping into it to read it! :) Now that's pretty great. ;)

  4. The best parts of this post? The postcard with the dog on the bookshelf and the Beatrix Potter postcard. Although I'm surprised you couldn't get rid of that letter the first time--who would turn down Tom Hiddleston?

    1. Who would turn down Tom Hiddleston?! The answer is: CERTAINLY NOT ME. Apparently this envelope just has different tastes. There's no accounting for good taste, right?

  5. Your blog posts are so entertaining, Laura! I have to say I am a big fan of Jazz hands too. And I partook in a bit of celebratory jazz-hands (accompanied by a 'woohoo'!) myself this evening when I checked my mailbox, because I received your postcard! :) Thanks!

  7. Ahh, absolutely positively jealous of that Olivanders wand! I was going to order a wand on amazon but I'm going to wait a few weeks until I'm at the tour and buy one from the gift shop ^.^ I've already decided I want Sirius Blacks wand as well! ~ Lovely mail aswell, I love all your outgoing envelopes *_*

    1. You were in my thoughts as I was trying to be all wizardy with the wand. :) It's a solid wand, I was surprised by how heavy it was! I can't wait to see both your wands when you get them.

    1. Hi Gladys! Thanks for visiting my blog. In the spirit of full disclosure, I'm not a HUGE Harry Potter fan--more a Harry Potter appreciator, but it was still super neat to hold the awesome wand. :)

  9. So many awesome letters! I hope you get mine soon ;).

And I love jazz hands, too, haha. With David we have this childish greeting that ends with jazz hands.

    Happy midweek! :P
