Par Avion? Don't mind if I do!

Everytime I go to the post office, I have to request more airmail stickers because I send out so much mail. The very nice post office person gives me a few sheets and then sends me on my way. I always want to throw myself across the counter and demand more! MORE! Don't they know that I send out lots of mail and that I like to hoard things?! Don't they know that I love those blue stickers so? But no, years of imaginary therapy and a desire to not be locked up keep me from demanding the quantity of airmail stickers that I would be comfortable with.

But then today, I got an email from a friend saying that she had a surprise for me.....

asdflkasjdflkaj&@#%$#^$&$&*$&$!! Did you hear that? That was the sound of my head exploding.....

Why yes, that's 138 sheets (which translates into 2,760 stickers) of airmail stickers!! A quantity that even blows MY mind—the girl who will probably be buried alive in stationery and mailing supplies. I may or may not have thrown the sheets up in the air and did a little happy dance as they rained down......

Do you want some airmail stickers too?

Do you like airmail stickers as much as I do? Do you want to trade or collect airmail stickers from different countries? Do you just want to throw the sheets up in the air and do a little dance like crazy me? Email me and let me know! Until next time, I'll just be here in the corner, cackling manically about my new sticker stash.....

  2. Wow! So many airmail stickers!
Over here in Germany at the post office counter they also always just give you like 20 or so, but you can send a mail to the service center asking for a roll (they come in rolls here) and they'll be mailing you one :)
    Take care!

    1. Oh, that's so great! I'm of the opinion that Canada could use a spruce up of its airmail stickers. International ones are so much nicer! ;)

  4. THAT's a LOT of air mail stickers! Over here in Malaysia, they're so stingy that they refuse to give you more than the amount of mail you sent. But I always take a whole sheet for myself ( in some post offices, they put a few sheets on the counter and you can just take yourself without requesting for them ) Haha! :D

    1. This is getting so fascinating! Caddi from Germany helpfully informed me that you can obtain an entire roll of stickers if you request it from the mail service. Canada gives you a few sheets at a time, and as you've pointed out, Malalysia typically only provides you with the amount of envelopes you have. I wonder how countries decide its airmail distribution policies--it's an entirely different facet to snail mail that I've never considered.
